| While on the road we always kept 1 emergency bottle in the truck. This was normally a laundry detergent or fabric softener (before they put the fancy pouring spot on). The purpose for this was depending on extreme weather conditions there are times when you may get hit and you know you can't make it to the restroom that is 1/2 mile from the truck (especially if you happen to be on certain medications). Anyways we always made sure that following the use of 1 of these bottles it was disposed of properly by removing the contents somewhere that would not become a biohazard for somebody to step, kneel, or lay in. And we would then reseal the container tightly and dispose of it. I realize this can still seem like a filthy thing to keep, but remember there may come a time when you need an emergency routine and can't make it to the nearest appropriate facilities.

Yeah, there's like two truck stops on the whole span of it (US97), but still do your thing and quit with the road debris and please do not carry it around and dump it in the sink with all the trash cans, urinals and toilets at hand. |

A driver told me it was "funny" to place his pee-bottles between the duals of another driver's truck, then laugh as he drove off & squashed the bottles. A female driver also told me about urinating into zip-lock bags & using them as "pee-bombs" against other drivers. I was in the shop of a Petro truck stop when a small boy got out of his daddy's truck (I assume) & peed right beside it...in full view of the people in the shop. Wonder where he learned THAT trick? I had a female co-driver that used to call the 800-numbers on trucks to report their drivers peeing in public. She said very few of them acted shocked or even concerned about the reports.

| I've never seen this before. That would make a good CNN I-Report if you could get it on video. |

| We just have a port-a-potty in the truck that we empty every couple of days. It's not realistic in my opinion to get to a toilet every time you need one. Not for #1 at least. #2 does wait for a toilet. That said, there have been some embarrassing emergenceis that required 4 or 5 plastic grocery bags and the little trash can that sits behind the seat.

| Personally I am appalled at the laziness of truck drivers that do this. I have NEVER had to resort to peeing in a bottle for gods sake. A porta-pottie in your cab??? Are you people insane? The ONLY reason I could see that would require a bottle to pee in would be a medical condition that causes you to not have control of your bladder. In that case get a damn catheter! Are you drivers really that disgusting and lazy that you cant pull over and urinate on the side of the road at least if you cant hold it until you reach a rest area? If your in a truck stop, park at the back with your trailer up against a grassy area and pee in the grass behind your trailer if your to lazy to walk to the truck stop bathroom. Why pee on the damn pavement when you can pee in the grass or dirt area somewhere? Do you realize how sickening this is? How would you like it if a bunch of people came and peed on your driveway or porch? There is NO excuse for having to pee in a bottle much less take a dump in a porta-pottie in your cab for gods sake! Wake up drivers!!! There is just no reason to have to do this except absolute laziness. |
