If you always have access to a toilet then you are not a truck driver and should not even be posting comments you have no idea what you are talking about.

I like those truck stops that have over 100 parking places and one stool in their restroom. That's a pretty sight when you wake up in the morning.

I agree with countrycruisers. Anyone who's been out here long enough knows there are times when you just can't get to a restroom and you should have other options available. I usually wake up at least once in the middle of the night to pee and I'm not going to walk into a truck stop under bright flourescent lights only to be awake for the rest of the morning. I'm also not going to pee on the pavement or risk getting ticketed or arrested peeing in some grassy area behind my truck on truck stop property.

Use a bottle that with a sealable cap if you're going to throw it away in a trash can. Otherwise use a travel trailer septic tank dump to pour out. Or in some grassy area away from the road where nobody will step in it.

Well, what I have learned in a year is that there are some sick drivers out there. Having to smell others urine on the pavement in these truck stops is uncalled for. I can only imagine what the inside of their trucks and/or homes look like. Using the excuse of not having a bathroom around for peeing in a bottle in your truck or for gods sake taking a dump into a homemade porta pottie in your truck is just plain nasty. If you actually have to dump in your truck and cant make it to a toilet u just need to get yourself a collostamy bag!!! My god, I cant believe people are giving me a hard time over this. Why cant you just pull over and pee in the dirt or grass? Or walk to the back of your truck and pee in the grass or dirt if your in a truck stop and cant bare to be inside in the bright light. What happens when the last few drops fall inside your cab because no matter how many times you shake it it is gonna happen. And what about the smell??? How can you justify this?

I said I have NEVER resorted to having to pee into a bottle or take a dump in my cab into a home made porta pottie! If you take a moment to notice I have driven for a year OTR. I will NEVER pee into a bottle. I will take 5 minutes to pull over to the side of the road if I absolutely have to and pee in the grass or dirt near my drives if there are others drivers on the road. If your concerned about others seeing you, when you pull over just angle your trailer so it blocks all view up your passenger side. There is not a cop in this world (no matter how desperate for a ticket they are) that is going to give you a ticket for pulling over and taking a leak when nobody can see you. If your peeing in the open thats another story. At the back of truck stops nobody is going to see you so just go there in the grass or dirt if you cant make it to a toilet for gods sake.

As a lady driver, I have never had the option of peeing in a bottle! All comes down to trip planning and paying attention to when the rest stops are coming up if there isn't a truck stop close by. After making many road trips by car between Florida and Wisconsin over a 5 year period with a child that was only 5 when we started making the road trips, I know it is not impossible.

Oh, and please drivers, if I ever get so lazy that I have to pee into a bottle in my cab/home or take a dump in there, you have my permission to take a shotgun and just blow my lazy head clean off!!! If I ever get that lazy I deserve to be taken off this earth.

What she said! Just because your a man doesnt give you the right to be so lazy as to have to resort to peeing in a bottle or taking dumps in your porta-pottie in your cab. And any man that has ever been married can attest to the fact that a womens bladder cannot be held anywhere near the time that a mans can. lol

I cannot believe you are still going on about this. We have a port-a-poty in our truck that we piss in. Whats the problem? There are deoderizers you put in there for the smell and then you dump it at a designated area. OMG you think you are so much better because you pull over and piss in the grass. Take a friging chill pill.. Then when you are waiting to unload and dont have anywhere to piss you will remember this thred. LOL
