stuff i heard on my radio the other day made me sad

last week on the freewheelin show did any of you catch the two shows about log book cheating and going around scales. there where so many drivers calling in about how good they are at doing these two things. the show was calling it outlaw week and it seam like they where promoting doing these things. how do you think it sound so someone who is not a driver that just happened to come across these shows. it really does not show us in a good light to the motoring public. anyway i was just wondering if this upset you as much as it did me to hear how proud these drivers where to call in and tell all the bad stuff they do out here on the road

What upsets you more? That they're admitting they're doing that, or the fact that they are?

Arrow too much information

There are times when it is best to be silent during some trucking journeys .

Some people will continue to giving Trucking a bad name for all . Where do you think the TV media , police , DOT , etc. get all they're information . Yep from someone who just didn't stop and think before they talked . Or did they ? It just makes it harder for all of us out here .

Loose lips sink ships ( my Mom taught us that when we were growing up )

Thanx Mom

I have a problem with log book cheating, but not with going around the scales.

Sad thing is half of them were probably not good at either. Just a bunch of guys wanting some attention. I agree, some things are meant to be kept silent.

Just like the Ultra Maroon on the CB asking whether the scale ahead is open every 20 seconds while sitting in the truck stop lot. Just keep your bleep mouth shut, listen at shift change/meal times. The Man listens to our channel dum bass. Shut up! Better yet go way out through the weeds, not even close to any scales.

Listen to 'Give Us Dirty Laundry" by Don Henley. I am a firm believer that 'the only good coop is a closed coop.'

If there is a way to get away , or around something people will eventually find it, no matter what it has to do with, trucking a buisness job, department store, ect. It just seems to be the way the world!!??? Some people will always push the envelope!!

Don't claim you're good at cheating logs until your carrier has been audited and it went undetected or you are involved in a serious accident and the other party's attorney can't prove you were negligent .
