| New "Pee 'n Pump" by Gilbarco Flying J to Replace Old Style Fuel Pumps 3-16-2008 Ogden, UT—Flying J, Inc., one of the nation's largest truckstop operators, announced today that it had entered into an exclusive contract with Gilbarco, Inc. to replace the diesel pumps at more than 258 locations in the USA and Canada, with the new Gilbarco Trucker Pee 'n Pump 1000, pictured below. ![]() David Barker, VP of North American Operations stated, "This will usher in a new era of convenience for the modern truck driver. We realize that time is money when you drive a truck for a living and nothing wastes more time than having to go inside the truckstop to 'do your business'." Barker also said that the new pumps will not only save trucker's time, but will also save Flying J money on costs associated with pressure washing stale urine from the concrete at the fuel island areas. The new pumps are not the only innovation being developed by Flying J. Earlier this year, plans for a new service co-developed with IdleAire, Inc. were announced. This new service, PeeAire, will be combined with the already popular IdleAire services like air conditioning, heat and in-cab internet service. This will allow truck driver to pee from the convenience of their cab—no more nasty pee bottles rolling around on the floor of the truck. A new $10 window adapter will be required for the service but a spokesman for IdleAire said a credit would be issued for any drivers who already bought an older adapter. The service will be available in late June. ----- *disclaimer* The above is satire purely from the imagination of my bored mind. There is no such thing as a Pee 'n Pump and the companies mentioned are not really offering any such service. It's just a long day sitting at the truckstop waiting for my 34 hour sentence to be up.

| It's not so bd when you are sitting but once you get up and go start pumping fuel WATCH OUT!! here it comes! lol |

| If they were ever to do that it wouldn't last a week before some female trucker filled a law suit because they can't pee out there! lol |

| At first I thought you were talking about urea pumps at fuel stations. But this is much funnier. It would make things quicker if they did it like that. |

| i think if that were ever made, someone would get the bright idea and drop a load in the urinal.....ewww

| The Pilot in Mebane, NC was doing some restroom renovations about a year ago. To keep in compliance with health codes they lined up a bunch of port-a-johns close to the building, next to the fuel islands. That was very convenient, and, didn't smell much worse than the indoor bathroom. All truck stops should have a port-a-john or two located near the diesel fuel island. Like Medicineman said, you may not have to whiz until you get out of the truck and start pumping the fuel. That is not a good feeling. |
