Move the damn truck!

I pulled into Sierra Sid's (Sparks, NV) this morning to fuel up. Trucks are lined-up at every set of pumps but one (pump #1). I slowly pull around the line at pump #2 and ask the guy in the truck that is waiting for pump #2 if he would like to go in front of me on pump #1. He says no, too much trouble getting himself out of line and anyways "the guy at the pump has been there for 10 minutes and ought to be about done". So I pull up to pump #1 and look over at the truck at pump #2. There is a couple in the truck (a CR England truck) and I assume they are putting away receipts and are getting ready to leave (based on what the other trucker told me about waiting so long). I go in, get my purchase arranged and go out to the pumps and start fueling up. The truck still hasn't left pump #2 (and there is a pull-up area to clear all the pumps at Sierra Sid's). Finally the driver I spoke to comes walking up to pump #2 and asks the CR England guy "When are you going to pull up? I've been waiting 15 minutes for you patiently...please pull up?" The guy gets out and says "I haven't even begun filling-up my truck...I've been doing my log book!" The poor guy waiting is about to have a stroke!! I tell him I am almost done and get in behind me...I was done and pulled forward to get my receipt and the idiot at pump #2 was still fueling up...nice and slow to piss the guy off.

So, I guess the point of this is: Pull up to the pump, fuel up, and get the hell out of the way for your brother trucker. Time is money and idiots like that CR England driver need to wake up!

What I hate is when you pull up to fuel. You see one truck past the fuel point. You think OK he is inside paying for fuel. You fill up both tanks. Clean the windshield, dump your trash, fill out your log book, and still never see the driver come out to the truck so you can pull up..............

Some people pull into the fuel island not to fuel but to use the restrooms but foods and other things they need because they are to lazy to find a parking place

Get real. A company driver is not a scab.

Scabs are people that cross a picket line to replace striking drivers.

Company drivers have no control over whether the company honors an independent drivers strike.

Before you go ballistic, I am an Owner/Operator, I just have common sense.

I think that if the fuel doesn't stabilize and the freight rates remain stagnant, there will be alot of owners becoming company drivers. I personally have been considering it lately.

I actually saw a landstar owner op pull up to the pump at the Waco flying hook and get out with his shower bag and lock his door. He left his truck there and went and took a shower, I couldn't believe it.
I will pull to the island to run n the store but I nly do it if I can pull through to the other side like you do when you are done fueling. I wouldn't block the pump

FFE and JB losers are the worst I've run into blocking the pumps. The one JB ### #### wouldn't move his truck even after 2 managers and the fuel desk attendant asked him to move. His response was that he was not going to move until he was damn good and ready and not a second before.
