Angry Is this acceptable?

I know I have done some stupid things before but is it just me that think that some truckers need to grab a brain and have a little respect for the rest of us out there?

I pulled into Great Falls Mt the other day and saw one truck pulled up past the pump and pull in, I hop out start the pump stick the drivers side nozzle in the tank, and then head around to the passenger side to start it....

Thats when I notice the LAKE of diesel fuel on that side, and flowing down the asphalt about 40 feet and the single set of tire tracks through it stopping at the trailer who was sitting there.

I picked up the phone to ask if anyone had let them know they had a spill, and cleanup was needed, the attendant had no idea what I was talking about

I was not real excited about getting blamed for the large spill which I was now sitting in the middle of, when the maintenance person came out he asked what happened, to which I said I had no idea as I had not done it, it really did not seem as though he believed me.

I made sure to pull out in a way to show that there was the original set of tire tracks through the diesel as well as mine.

I dont understand how a driver could do this and then just drive away, and wonder why so many people have no respect for truck drivers...

And then at the end of the fuel island is another team who are "WASHING" Their truck at the friggin fuel island!!!

Isnt there Truck wash facilities out there for just that reason?

Is it just me that feels these are unacceptable actions?

Ragtopjr...I agree, it just boils down to common sense, consideration of others , and remembering the "Golden Rule". The world would be a much better place if people would use these 3 basic things. Hang in there brother !

My thanks as well

I've noticed this as well, the driver's today are in it for the money. My Grandfather told me a long time ago to get a job I loved, I did And I still do. the day I don't I'll hang it up and go fishing. Most drivers don't respect themselfs or anyone else, you see it in their driving, their personal habits and the way they act in the truckstops. For myself, I have no problem telling them of their shortcommings. One day I'll get the %^$# kicked out of me,but hasn't happened yet, although a couple have tried. I guess the best we can hope for is they retire early

Well, it gets better. Just like this week for me. Guy comes into bathroom knocking on stalls..I'm the only one in ANY stall. He promptly plays 20 questions as to who I was.

I finally had to tell the guy, it didn't matter who was in the stall. It wasn't anyone he knew.

Damn if it ain't getting bad when a guy can't take a magazine break anymore

I've got some tasty pics I'll post from this weeks truck stop adventures, if the mods approve them....sad sad.

Is that break a "legal" break and where is it noted at? Line 5

And if you take a 2 hour magazine break, is that like splitting the bunk time?

Logs, Logs, where are you?
