Unhappy Why are our Trucks so Hated

I have been parking my Trailer at our Church and bringing my Truck back to my house and putting into my own Driveway and plugging it in, Washing it and, Yes looking out the window at it often,
I have heard people at church complaining about the trailer even though the preacher gave permission, And today My Neighbor calls me today and says "I don't want to ruin our friendship, But I think you should park your truck somewhere else. It don't fit in" I was thinking, "Dude, My truck is worth more than your House!" but I was nice and found a place that charges me 50 bucks a month to plug in and park there. It solves the 2 problems of Tractor and Trailer being at two different places, and Me having to drive down our street to get it into our small drive, but it Tics me off that people hate These Trucks so much!

That's horse puckey. It's YOUR home, it's YOUR property, and it's YOUR source of income. When I read about how many rules and regulations communities have regarding truck parking... and how friends and neighbors find a truck in the driveway distasteful... I realize how lucky I am to live where I do. A guy about a mile down the road from us just pulls off the road and parks his truck in the front yard -- yep, the front yard of his $250,000 home. (It's quite a bit more upscale than our little row of homes... LOL)

And one day several months ago, we were in a neighboring town and saw where a driver parks his:

Truckers

A friend of mine backs his entire rig in the yard alongside the house. Lordy, but I love small-town livin'!

Park away!

Same here, my property! I drop the trailer down the road in a secure yard and park the tractor at the house. As long as there are no ordinances prohibiting it, park away!

My Father In Law lives in the out in the country and has had a Excavating business for years, The equipment in his back yard is worth more than 99 percent of the upscale homes. but the comment my neighbor makes is It makes the community look like there is a hillbilly living in it, Mind you My home is quite nice, My wife has flowers and bushes landscaped all around it and we have a big silver maple and large Birch tree, No junk, but the minuit I put my Truck in the drive, all of a sudden we look like hillbillies! Actually, I don't mind being referred to as a hill billy, at least I am not a modern yuppie.

Yes, I am going to call the city on Monday and find out what the law is, because I'll still be bringing it home to wash it.
It does look a bit strange, my house is a single story Ranch, the truck looks bigger than the house when parked in the driveway. one reason s our Garage is a Single car garage. Door just big enough for our Dodge Stratus but then you have to be a professional driver to get the car in... LOL

my neighbor did the, 'about your truck....' thing, I stopped him and said, 'I don't care...it won't be home that often...i'm just cleaning it.' Guess his wife called the cops on someone for that.....Well if I do end up buying my own....their not gonna like me....Funny thing is the elderly lady across the street just came out and waved....guess she knows a working man when she sees one. God Bless her.

I'm getting tired, very tired about people shoving their noses into other's business. Particuarly when people are objecting to what you use your property for.

I mean, come on, it's a truck. It's not exactly an eyesore...I mean, it's big, but so frickin' what? Several ancient rusted out cars up on cement blocks are an eyesore, but a truck that stays gone a lot?

Very, very glad I live where there are no neighbors to pry into my business...

People in general are selfish idiots who are only concerned about "Me, me me!" Nevermind the truck driver who is your neighbor is one of many who make it possible for you to live your lives with the modern convieniences you enjoy- everything from your toilet paper to your car got to you because of truckers.

(But of course, ya'll already know that)

What gets me is he drives a OLD Rusted van for his electrical business and it is in his yard every night of the week. I felt like telling him how seeing it every day offends my eyes, but Naw, i'll just gripe here instead.
