Don't go! There you have been warned again. They suck. You don't want to suck. If you are good mechanic you can make $100k + a yr in oilfield. That's about 14 yrs with England. If you must drive check with Millis transfer. They don't suck. And remember-you don't want to suck. You can believe England recruiters or real drivers and your own lying eyes.

Joetro, AfterShock and Chinatown Thank this. -
1. Team Drive
2. Lease a Big truck to run for them.
3. No job.
What will your decision be then?
(It very well could be one of, if not the most important decisions you'll ever have to make.)
Do you have a family that depends on your income to survive financially?
is to spend those first few months with another Big truck truckin company.
Seriously! What made you decide on C.R. England?
BTW, I noticed that you're a new member here at TTR.
Welcome aboard.
Since joining:
Did you do any research before deciding on CRE?
What impresses you most about that Big truck truckin' company over any of the others?
Have you talked with any present or former CRE drivers here, or in person?
Particularity a poster here --- Dewey, a former C.R. England Lease Operator/Trainer?
If not, you really should make it a point to touch bases on the subject with him.
He, among others who've experienced the CRE Adventure first hand, can accurately
describe what you can expect there as well as what not to expect, ---
regardless of what a recruiter may have told and/or promised you.
Ultimately, it's your decision to make.
It's in your best interest to be well informed before hand.
I sincerely hope you'll make the correct decision.
Many didn't, and paid the price.
It can be very expensive.
Question is, can you afford a wrong decision?

From previous posts on here, CR England has a habit of firing drivers within a couple of days after completing their CDL school. Then you get billed for the school and they get a tax credit from the feds.
As Big Duker posted, Millis Transfer would be good. Excellent reputation and good paychecks.
Schneider Bulk (tanker division) sometimes pays for private CDL school. $55K-$65K starting out.

I wanted to go with SRT but i need another 2 years before i can work for them
-
Big truck truckin' company that told you they'd hire you?
Have you turned in applications to any other truckin' companies?
Do you need another 2 years to go with SRT due to age or experience level?
Have you reported in at Burns Harbor yet?
Do you have a *Plan B*, ........ just in case *Plan ## gets derailed?
-
Well i passed my driving test. I get my CDL from the Indiana BMV tomorrow. Yes the motel is #### and you have a shuttle to go to Kmart and grocery store. I've heard a lot of people complain about the school but after having gone through the course the instructors give you everything you need to pass the test. Tomorrow I see what the contract looks like.

Good luck, we pray you will not waste your time
AfterShock Thanks this. -
I hope the OP didn't end up going to CR England. When just about any other option is a better option.
