Yeah I know, "haha look at the Swifty" and all, but I am just getting my foot in the door with trucking and so far I'm liking it. It's probably not advisable, but I started out by teaming. I have not had much training on the "solo lifestyle", so I figure this would be a good place to go. Although my copilot happens to be my brother, he's got a severe case of WTA. I've been thinking about going solo, but I don't want to take anything lightly. What are some basic things to consider along the lines of switching from team to solo? Time management, etc.

You'll get responses on the "Questions From New Drivers" thread.

Best advice I can give is to always have a backup plan. Keep a list of trucking companies that you would like if you leave Swift for any reason. Always move up for better pay and benefits; don't make lateral moves.
Put you location on your profile; city/state. If you don't want to list your town just put the nearest city. This information helps people trying to give you good information when they answer your questions.

    Welcome to trucking.
