| Just a tap on the shoulder JUST A TAP ON THE SHOULDER A passenger in a taxi leaned over to ask the driver a question and tapped him on the shoulder. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb, and stopped just inches from a large plate glass window of a restaurant. For a few moments everything was silent in the cab, and then the still shaking driver said, "I'm really sorry, but you scared the heck out of me!" The frightened passenger apologized to the driver and said he didn't realize a mere tap on the shoulder could frighten him so. The driver replied, "No, no, it's entirely my fault. Today is my first day driving a cab. I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years."  |

| That reminds me of a local stolen vehicle report I read here . A local funeral home has a regular cargo van they use to transport bodies from the hospital to the funeral home . One of their employees stop for gas after picking a body up at the hospital . He left the keys in the van and went in the C-store . The van was stolen but was found within minutes less than a mile away . It was in the middle of the road with both doors wide open and the engine still running . |
