Hi guys,
By chance anyone know when replacing the wiper motor on a 2000 4900 truck - can the clips for the blades be removed through the center screened over opening (by reaching in), or does the entire top plate have to be taken off?
Replaced just about everything on the 4900 series truck at one time or another (we have 3 in our fleet) but never the wiper motor.

Do you mean the wiper arms?
-
Yes, detaching the wiper arms from the motor. Looks like they are using c clips to hold the arms to the motor shaft. Just not sure how to get to the clips to pop off the arms. Unless after removing the bolts/backing plate I can reach in there to remove and then reattach the wiper arms.

Ok, I see. It has been forever since I changed one on that style. I can't remember clearly to give you a proper answer. I will have to look at a truck this week to see.
forceten Thanks this. -
Anyone?

Sorry, I have not come across one from that year yet.
