Nope...the overheight warning on Brady St in Davenport uses the same lasers the weigh stations do...the 102 on my car is more than high enough to set that off (as it hits the bridge) and I've never once tripped it.

Just curious about these 102" whips... I've been doing some pretty heavy reading and research on here about a good antenna setup for my '17 Cascadia midroof... I've seen a lot of people saying that the 102" whips will outperform anything else, but hard to mount on a truck. So if I figure the mounting out then I'm better off with one of these than a good fiberglass or predator-style whip? I have some ideas running through my head but was wondering if there is a reason that I am not seeing more people attempting to try using one?

Some have and seem to have decient results..Depending where you mount it you will likely have lots of signal reflecting or the ant will be in the wind stream and swaying a fair bit..Come winter time unless in the south you might have even more issues..
Same issues folks with the 6/7ft fibreglass ant....Last edited: Sep 25, 2016
rabbiporkchop and bored silly Thank this. -
I'm pretty much limited to a mirror mount on the driver's side or bird perch on the passenger door...

Dont do those single screw in perches..I had a cpl of them and they were a hair to small and didnt stay tight...Get the mirror mounts with the two bolts style..
