    Gotcha. I appreciate the info. Yeah the sim instructors were adamant 1500 on downshift - skip shift or it won't go in. As I was blipping the throttle and he was like no no 1500

    Well the week is over. Thanks to FullMetalJacket I got the trainer hookup, so I hang out at the campus inn until this sat or sun. People were getting picked left and right by trainers. One guy finished his offset sim test and the trainer working with him said if your cool with it lets roll.

    Very little left from what it looks like. I got to the millennium building, food was awesome even though they were out of steak tips haha!

    Well... first day in the truck and we went on the interstate. We did pad parallel, offset and alley dock.

    Shifting pad went great actual driving did too. I was out of gear twice both in safe areas. It bummed me out because idk why it happened. As my downshifting was great all day.

    Oh well, tomorrow we roll to Virginia. My trainer is great, patient and knowledgeable. I think it will be a better day tomorrow.

    Don't beat yourself up so much. Sounds like your first day went really well.

    It's going to take TIME & EXPERIENCE. No way around that, bud.

    You are in very capable hands & I have full faith your going to do just fine.

    I drove today from prime up until 10 to 20 miles from Illinois. Downshifting still ok. I did find I wasnt keeping the pressure on the shifter as the revs came back down and more often brought the shifter back out if I didn't get into gear, those hills can be a pita. So I tweaked my process and it's doing better. Still missing sometimes. I feel somewhat better than yesterday

    Today went much better. Hit bumper to bumper traffic in the city on 70 east in ohio. My 10 to 8 8 to 6 much better however juggling those real low 4, 3, 2 is a whole other issue lol when you're creeping along. Im feeling better today but still looking to improve. Did 5 hours today, I'm now sitting shotgun as we hit west Virginia. Some of these up hills and down hills are wicked. And the thing isn't they're probably nothing compared to others around the country.

    We got 80k behind us as well.

    I said the same thing. I drove Virginia and did not like it Sam I am I so not like Virginia hills and ham!
