Stock setup in my '16 cascadia, Cobra 29ltd classic. Finally found out that I needed to have Delta tune all the way up to be heard. I tune it every day and can receive maybe 5 miles and put out couple miles. Still want to amp up and get different antenna setup.

Delta tune has zero to do with your range..RF gain does...DT is nasically useless so it it in the ctr setting and forget it..
As for ant set up thats not an easy answer..Best go through the threads on ant for the cascadia and study up on ant stuff first..

RF Gain is all the way up as well. Just sayin, I turned DT all the way up and can be heard now. Was told to keep it in the middle to reduce background noise but at that level I wasn't loud enough on other guys cb's. I'm coming in clear now

Cobra 25 is a good basic radio, Cobra 29 ltd adds built in swr meter but there is some debate on its accuracy, the Cobra 29 lx has digital face plate and has weather channel and talkback, you will probably want to ditch cobra stock muc in favor of a Rk56, Astatic 636 or Ranger sra 198. The Bearcat 880 is similar to 29 lx , it has digital face, multiple colors, talkback, swr meter, and weather, only difference is mic hookup is 6 pin instead of 4 pin like most radios, so if you wish to use a different mic other than the stock mic you have to use adapter ( 6pin to 4 pin) that is included. From my experience modulation is low OTB with the 880 but it can be turned up, but modulation with the Cobra radios is good stock.

When i doscovered the facor color change option in my old 29 lx..That option is now a must for me..Its awsome to have a bright color for easy daytime and dark color for might..Then add the dimmer option its awsome..One of the big reasons i bought the 29 lx and stryker 955 sence
