Oh i know im getting out some..Goin through carisle pa area i hear the cb man for 20+ miles but he dont hear me past 5 or so..
Im sure my overall results would be more consistant with counterpoise and thats the issue i think with the new plastic trucks..

IMO the green is the best color on the 29 LX , the blue is ok and the amber is only good at night and the red is totally worthless day or night. All the colors on the 880 can be seen pretty good day or night.

Onmy reason some of the colors are no good at night is the led part itself..You have to look at it atraight on or its off BUT that option has to start somewhere and some how b4 it gets better..AGAIN i love my stryker 955 for it..

From what I see in videos the colors on the 955 look really good, almost bought a 955 but bought a Galaxy 99v2 instead which I use in my mobile, just dont use the exports much anymore, been using Bearcat 980, Uniden 78 ltd, cobra 29 lx, or cobra 29 NW LTD in big truck, I know too many radios all similar performance, I just like using something different every now and then, afterall CB stands for constant buying!

you have a 40" pole mount and a 22" shaft on a predator how you do that and not click bridges with the stinger I have no idea....with that setup as high up as it is you should be able to talk 15/30 miles all the time.....very true what you said most times drivers run small radios and sub par antennas..... they are not not going to reach back to you very far.........

Well the mirror mount thats made for some of the truck have that as part of the mount..There is also 2 positions to set on that mount..Straight up or anout a 20 deg lean..Look at the pic and expand it some and you will see.. 20160619_163317.jpg

I think that we have all come to the conclusion that regardless of how high we mount the antenna on these new Cascadias, it is the lack of ground plane that is working against our efforts.
