SO I need some info on my fld120 vin 992067 I threw a rod on my c12 cat and pulled it out and took a n14 out of a day cab and put in in my fld120 the day cab was a fld120 but did not have jakes cruse on the shifter or a switch for the fan. when I got the n14 installed it ran but wouldn't shut down so I put in a kill switch to the fuel solenoid so I can shut it down now. went out for a test run and it only get up to 1600 rpm and goes a whopping 53mph took it to cummings and when they tried to hook to the ecm ports they couldn't get anything from the ecm in or out of the cab. o I changed out the throttle pedal the one from the cat did not work.so my buddy has a 1998 fld120 with a n14 out of the factory and he thought that the wiring harness from the fire wall to the ecm is what I need to replace but I need to see if his is the same as mine and I cant get anyone to send me the wiring diagrams from both trucks I need to make sure the pins are in the same position coming out of the fire wall. his vin is 971116 the part number is A06-2321-000 any help?

different engine, different sensors, different location, different wiring, different ecm.

save yourself the headache and find another c12.

FYI Might help knowing that it's a cummins and not a Cummings when you're looking for parts.

All I can say is you're going to be in for some fun. Either swapping a C12 back in or re-wiring the truck for an N14.

he's going to need a lot more then a conversation harness.

all the ground connections and what not. the ecm needs to be reflashed for a cummins engine. who knows what else will have to be gone through.

figure all that added cost to get that engine running. compared to just installing another c12.

the engine is running and I drove it to get the ecm flashed but the ecm didn't have any power to the outlets that's why it only runs down the road 53 mph

You'll have to keep us posted when all is said done. As to everything you had to do for the different engine.

You checked all your wiring for corredded grounds? Even the battery box.
