This all started two weeks ago.
Truck derated and had a boatload of NOX codes.
I write the codes down, clear them out and drive to dealer.
They replace NOX and exhaust temp sensors and flash the ECM.$1855
I head out of the shop on day three only to derate and get a code for the exhaust temp sensor.
Write the codes down, clear them out and drive to dealer.
They spend 5 hours sitting in my truck and the end result is reload the software updates.
I head out the next morning only to have the transmission stop shifting right and putting me on the side of the road.
I write the codes, only trans codes, clear them out and drive to dealer.
    Here are the codes:
    MID 130 PSID 25 FMI 0
    MID 130 PSID 25 FMI 2
    MID 130 PSID 25 FMI 7
They want to drop the trans and have quoted me between $15,000 and $17,000
I could really use some help. These "techs" only know how to read check lists and step 5 is drop trans!
When you clear the codes it's fine. HELP!!!

what about the ecu for the transmisson? I kept getting a message, transmisson ecu needs repair, and the volvo shop read the codes and did some programming and everything works fine now. Only problem I have is the fog lights will not turn off, the come on with the headlights.

There is very few volvo techs that know anything else but to follow check list. here is something Stupid does it have proper air psi going to transmission make sure the valve is not plugged i've had it before on the Zf transmissions and a lot of people miss it or if you have any considerable air leaks. I shift is very depend on air psi being over 100 if it doesn't have that then it will start causing all sorts of faults. Maybe possible they messed something up when reflashed your ecm and now engine and trans aren't communicating properly

I'm at a small shop to have them go over the work done by Volvo. I'll post when we find something.

Five years or up to 750,000 miles. But it depends, it really really depends.
