    Hello,

I have a 2012 Cascadia with a DD15 Engine, about 460k miles. Both Check Engine and Maintenance Lights are on. I am getting 2 Active Faults. EEC 061 SPN004364 01, and EEC 061 SPN004364 18. I know this has something to do with the NOx Conversion System. But what does this mean in regular English, as I am unfamiliar with the new DEF systems.

Cheaper in the long run to just replace the DEF filter. 3-4 hour job, instead of over a day to bake and replace.

    Singh115 Thanks this.

Thank you all for your replies. The DEF filter for the truck was changed at 390k.

cheaper is correct. Bake and replace can cost in the neighborhood of $1,000.00, replacement is about $400.00. Not even taking into account the loss of income/revenue by being down for multiple days.

$400 for epa10 dpf's? ))))) where did you get this ? it will be 2X$400=$800 plus sales tax

The parts number for epa10 dd15 dpf's is RA6804910894. Google it or call to the dealer to see how much is the cost. There are two dpf's on the truck. Cleaning costs $450 for two dpf's at Detroit's official dealers. They use FSX Pneumocleaning instead of old style bake and blow. The cleaning process takes max 2 hours. Also you need to buy 2 clump - seal kits about $90 each of them. The labor is about 3-4 hours at dealer cost. I have invoices and I have posted it so you can see it.
