Hello fellow truckers!
I've spent last two days in searching the web for an answer of my question and it it:
I own T700 and I would like to be able to do diagnose it myself instead of paying the dealers $120 an hour every time my Check Engine light comes on. I found that ESA software but not much info if it would do the job. Also, couldn't find what hardware I need to connect it to the truck. In just two word - Help me!
Thank you in advance, guys!

ESA is for the truck side. Won't help you on the engine side. That program is called DAVIE. GrapeApe should be around shortly. He knows the in's and out's with Paccar.

Thank you, Sir!

You need insite. Esa will check ensure your actual gauges work and the sensors they read

You will have to purchase Davie4 (~$2500) and a Nexiq USB-Link or USB-Link2 (~$900). That is, if your dealer will even let you. Even then, you'll only be limited to reading the codes and having access to the tests and monitors. You would still need access to Kenworth's ePortal so you can access Engine Rapido in order to get the repair and troubleshooting manuals.
Bottom line, Paccar wants you to take their engines to the dealer. -
Before you even think about buying ESA, take some training on it. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll end up blank boxing that CECU.
