Hi can i get some info on this motor as i will start doing LCV work and was told that the MX has to be dropped gears before you hit the hill or you can loose a connecting rod. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated ...peace

If they're worried about breaking rods the whole motor is junk. I pulled trains for years, and never had any engine trouble. I suspect you can up shift at 16-17, but if you want to keep yer rpm up on hills drop down at 15, you'll be fine. If you pull down to 12-13 you'll have to drop a full gear or you'll just be chasing yer tail.
