I have a 3406c 3jz engine. Set at 425 factory. It seems to be low on power. However it gets fenominal fuel mileage. Like close to 11 mpg. Easy... I need to wake it up a bit since I haul heavy up to 108000. What is going on with this?

Get ur head out of your ###. No ones going to believe you get 11 mpg hauling nothing let alone heavy.

If your going to come back and say it does then you better just leave it alone because you sir have the only truck in existence getting that kinda mileage.

That might be a little high. My point is it get stupid good fuel mileage. I put 376 miles on it and topped the tank off 35 gallons of fuel. Do the math bud. My point is what is causing my lack of power but yet stupid fuel mileage. No need for sarcastic comments. Just looking for information. Could somebody have messed with the air fuel before I bought the truck?.

top both tanks off next time. bam. now yer at 5.3 mpg.

if i had an 11 mpg truck i'd drive it like it was and let it be a dog.

Yeah. No way you're getting 11 mpg. I'd say you'd be lucky to see 6 empty, with a tailwind. My '14 Powerstroke is lucky to break double digits on a good day.

Not to mention its a 3zj AND MECHANICAL. The timing sucked on a 3zj so id say 5 to 6 at best. Hauling heavy 4 to 5 at best

Check the accuracy of your odometer too while you're at it.

I live and breathe mechanical CATS, and I can't buy that good of milage. I would love to but it don't happen. If it's warming a little bit in a pull it's not enough air which is most common. The next issue is not enough fuel usually not enough supply, either from a small suction leak or restriction. Both which cause loss of fuel mileage not a gain. If it's getting 5.5 and up hauling sticks glue the screws down and let er eat.
