To take a load that is worth $10,000-$80,000 and garentee that it stays damage free from rain and wind is worth a lot more than $40 bucks to tarp, because it is the drivers fault if its not.

Picking up 2, 100 pound tarps and stand 13 feet above ground with a risk of falling is worth more than $40 bucks.

Having your $600-$1000 tarps go through rips and wear is worth more than $40 bucks.

    Or just quit flatbed.

I can't think of any company that will pay you a good rate to tarp, consistently. And if they do you probably aren't getting miles. $40 is a flat rate. No different than mileage pay. You get paid the same if you tarp a simple box as you do a tall and potentially dangerous CnC Machine. Guess what? You probably get paid the same to drive those two loads as well. You signed up. Not me. Welcome to flatbedding as a company driver.
