Keep your head on a swivel. Saturday 5/9 is gong to be especially ripe for severe Wx but any of these days towards late afternoon into evening/dark hours storms can/will become severe in areas. Longer MCS lines will typically develop later in the evenings with these setups. But it is the discreet cells in late afternoons & early evenings beforehand that need to be monitored especially carefully.

If you see ominous clouds ahead or in your path and are in the TX, OK, KS, NE, MO, AR areas, check Wx radar and NOAA radio before proceeding directly into these during this time frame. Sometimes all you need to do is park for 30 minutes and allow the cell to move off out of your path to avoid wind, large hail, micro-burst down-pours, and worse.
