You really can't think of a reason why they would fine you when you are 10k overweight and driving around without your license? Really?
Smdh you don't even have to pay it, your company is paying it for you when it was 100% your fault? Quit crying man, that is a **** good deal.
Mistakes happen man, just learn from it and be thankful its not costing you a dime.peterd, Dave_in_AZ and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
Just saying here.......We all know we need to carry out CDL and for I.D. purposes. If the LEO asks for it and you dont have it, he will ask you a few questions and your CDL number( I know mine) address etc. He will call it in with dispatch and if its all good, there shouldnt be any issues there. The main issue here was he was off a Posted truck route. And the fine is ridicules AND the traffic lawyer isnt helping like he should be. APPEALED the decision and go to court and represent yourself. Live and Learn. Also, why are you worried about it, the company is paying for it.

No no no.
The problem really must have been that the officer smelled Blood and OP just let him have it.
Officer could've just said OK let me escort you out but OP probably looked like an easy cash in for the city.
Op, I feel for you man. If that ever happened to me I'd be crying too. It's OK buddy. Real men cry. Let it out. -
6 grand is way too much if it's the first offense.
in all other professions you don't get fined 6 grand for a mistake which has absolutely no consequences
so what, he drove there, did anything collapse, did anything break, did anybody in danger
he is not a multiple regular offender
there is no future driving a truck,
risks are too high compare to the benefit
it is ok to do it for a while and save money
but a day or another everybody break the holy road signs weigh limit lawdiesel drinker Thanks this. -
