Is it possible to convert a 70" Unibilt single bunk to a double? Is there some type of kit to buy?

Don't know if you can buy a kit...but you can ALWAYS mount ANYTHING at ANY TIME if you have the right tools and supplies.

I have no idea on that truck but I made my 387 a double

all the mounting plates were behind the walls, Pete wanted like $5000
I found a upper bunk that looked new at a truck parts yard around Iowa/Nebraska??

Paid like $150 and took 20 minutes to install. Did it right there in their lot

    Voltrucker and ROBERTCADAMS Thank this.

Thanks guys. I'm in the hunt for a truck and it's sort of hard to find a double bunk 379exhd. Just wondering if it can be done.

I quickly googled truck parts and found a co. Named C and H

That seems like the name of where I found mine. Not 100% it's been a couple years. But if nothing else they could help locate I'm sure

Double bunk 379 70" are around. I worked for a company in 03 and had one. It had no mattress up there and the base folded up for a great storage area.

Check around at wrecking yards, you might be able to take out the base and brackets if the sleeper has external damage. Maybe you could interest them in trading the cabinetry from yours for the bunk option.

I would suggest looking on truckpaper. When you find one, write down the vin number and go to a pete dealer and use that vin to order the upper bunk parts. I ordered a upper bunk in my 389 so I could use it as a shelf. I really like how Petes upper bunk folds up half way
