Truck was losing a gallon a day and would start to overheat (205ish)...i did a radiator pressure test and seen the radiator coolant tank had crazy leaks. replaced the tank, and rebuilt the radiator. filled it up with coolant and water...did another pressure test and didnt see any leaks. ran it for a few days and same thing...i had to add 4 gallons of water to fill it back up.
i dont see water leaking anywhere. friend suggested the oil cooler?
the oil looks great from the dipstick, no milky look or anything. also noticed my breather tube on the head is now dripping water. not sure if its related or not.

Sounds like it might be burning it. Any noticeable white smoke?
-
hmm..ill have to check tomorrow. i cant see my stack while im driving but ill have someone look for me.

Sounds like a head gasket or cracked head. Are your heater valves open? If so check the hoses under the truck.

i think i closed them off after winter...should they be open?
-
If they are open, the leak could be under the cab.
magoo68 Thanks this. -
If you can't find any leaks, fill the coolant to full mark and run it for an hour over an area of clean payment, then back the truck up and see if anything is on the ground. Hopefully this is just an external leak at this time and not internal.

well i had a couple hours before work today since it rained yesterday...so i went down to oreilly and grabbed that radiator pressure tester again. topped it off and pumped it up to 16 psi. now i see water slowly dripping from the bottom driver side of the intercooler ( i believe its called). its the thing bolted on the back of the radiator that one top side has the turbo going to..and the top driver side goes to the driver side of the motor. any thoughts?

Probably the rad still leaking somewhere and it is dripping down the air to air.
