my nephew is trying to get a field truck for the farm up and running. Apparently an engine swap was done, removing the original 1993 E7 350 with a 1997 E7 350. Whoever did it just cut the harness to the fuel pump. The wires on the new engine pump don't jive with the cab wires, colors & wire numbers don't match. I know this is kind of vague but if anyone can chime in I would be most grateful.

Thanks, I was wondering if the difference in years would be compatible. I've never had much involvement with Mack trucks but from what I've read they can be quite finicky.

From how you worded it maybe you need a new injection pump. 97 should still be the half breed mechanical. They don't pull like a cat but when a cat is going in for a rebuild the mack would be getting oiled and greased. Last of the good e7's. Didn't like the etech or ac/ai bs

I'll ask the old man hes the mack guru
