I'm sitting peacfully at the back of the truck stop that's 3/4 empty with the engine off.

And a guy hauling a refer on high idle backs it in three spot's away from me . He disconnects and drives half way across the parking lot and parks on the fence.

What would you think or do?

    ac120 Thanks this.

I would think he's a meet (relay) driver and someone else is coming to fetch trailer

2nd option, he let frozen radioactive coils warm when the refer ran out of fuel, and he pulled out due to high expectation of explosion..

Look out window in the morning see if its a smoking hole

    I
I guess he could be but if he doesn't wanna listen to it what would make him think me or a couple the other guys want to?

If there's no where else to park it, I wouldn't think anything about it. But with so many other places to put it ?

There's just a couple drop decks at the back here . Maybe he don't like flatbeds and is punishing us. o_O:p

I think you should just walk over to the reefer and turn it off. No more noise. Until about 3am when the other driver show's up and the loud cursing begins...

Standard procedure in the 1950's when the driver discovers the plutonium fuel rod was just a tad to hot for transport!
I trained at Seimens Corporation, back when the actual knowledgeable people trained us for Hazmat. A driver asked what to do in case of an accident, the guy replied "Run if you can".
We were hauling spent plutonium rod.

As far as the reefer, I am betting either the driver was doing a trailer swap and reserving two holes, or simply wanted a nice quiet nights sleep, lol. I pull reefer, but the only time you will see me in a truck stop is midnight to 5 AM when all the thumb-suckers are sleeping, and Im just there to get fuel, coffee, and smokes! Set your alarm clocks cause I get pretty angry when there aint a parking spot about rush hour!
