I looking at this as a rate stand point. Rates sucks now. I don't see some companies investing in this type of technology. Some companies complain about having a APU installed on their trucks.lol

They're trying to say that using autonomous vehicle technology is safer than having a driver behind the wheel.

With today's drivers, that is the case. Why?

Because trucking companies don't offer pay, benefit and work schedules that are designed to attract the best and safest drivers. If they did, then the drivers that would sit in their seats and operate their trucks would be safer and more reliable than any autonomous technology that's available.

They'll start loading them to be legal. Yard jockey will do all that work. What Otto can't do is back into the docks at liquor distributors. I can think of one up in the UP where you have to leave the truck at a 15 degree angle to the trailer until the mirror clears the garage door, then straighten up.

It's not drivers that need to worry. It's brokers, customer service, accounts payable/receivable that need to worry. Truck drivers will take over those roles while the truck drives itself. All the driver will be responsible for is pretrips, dealing with customers (backing, coupling, etc) and programing the navigation.

Why was it so important that no vehicles were parked along the highway?
