I have a trailer that the abs light will come on around 10 miles of driving after getting loaded, doesn't come on when empty and could drive 100-150 miles and never have it come on, but as soon as get loaded and head on down the road, abs light comes on. Has the mechanics stumped bc have changed sensor and extension cable, and still doing same thing. Any ideas why would be happening when loaded but not empty?
ABS issue when loaded

Jack it up and check for play in a wheel bearing.
Sometimes the air gap can get wider when loaded if you have a loose wheel bearing.....tony97905 Thanks this. -
About the only thing it could be.
Wheel bearing end play is on the loose side. I generally set them up so no play at all. Just a touch of preload. But everybody has their opinion on that.GrapeApe Thanks this. -
