I have a trailer that the abs light will come on around 10 miles of driving after getting loaded, doesn't come on when empty and could drive 100-150 miles and never have it come on, but as soon as get loaded and head on down the road, abs light comes on. Has the mechanics stumped bc have changed sensor and extension cable, and still doing same thing. Any ideas why would be happening when loaded but not empty?

Jack it up and check for play in a wheel bearing.
Sometimes the air gap can get wider when loaded if you have a loose wheel bearing.....

About the only thing it could be.

Wheel bearing end play is on the loose side. I generally set them up so no play at all. Just a touch of preload. But everybody has their opinion on that.

Same here. Specs are 0.001"-0.005" end play on most hubs, but I have always ran about 1/8 turn of preload with no issues. I have seen many intermittent erratic signal ABS faults solved by adjusting wheel bearings that were supposedly "in spec". 0.003" or more can give an occasional fault.
