I heard someone say that after the elog mandate, those who run 1999 and older trucks and choose to run paper logs will have a massive insurance rate increase. They said it would be as much as $10,000 extra per year for paper log drivers.
This seems crazy. Has there been any talk about this, or was the guy spreading false rumors?
After 2017 paper logs and insurance increase by $10,000 ?

I'm insured through Progressive which is already over priced. I asked about any discounts if/when I switched to elogs. They said no discount,.. and no increase should I run a pre 99 with paper logs.
In fact my rates could go down, depending on how much I insured the pre 99.
Stop listening to truck stop counter talk.
