    Just talked to my ex who lives in Anchorage and is a truck driver. He says 100s have lost their jobs in the slope and they are experiencing some economy woes of their own. My hubby tried to get into the slope but really just wasn't all that, the pay wasn't either. The worst was they work 2 weeks rotation and while they do pay for your travel to/from Anchorage, they don't give subsidy for the 2 weeks off. In the past they did and maybe do to established workers but his friend was sorta established and not receiving it.
