I just recently got service with Sprint and bought an android phone. I like the Sprint and Google Navigation it offers but it doesn't offer truck routing. Does anybody know of a truck navigation app to get that is free or does not cost an arm and a leg for android phones?

    Thank you in advance!

I don't know of any apps, free or otherwise, for trucks specifically. You can make your own route though. I love the nav on the android phones. It's nice that it shows traffic and accidents. It will also route you around them if the alternate route is less time than the expected delay. Be careful with that though.

I use copilot live 8 for daily navigation, i personally like it better then google navigation, but still does not provide any truck specific capabilities.

Well thank you both for your reply. I haven't had any luck finding any truck navigation for android either. I know there is one for Iphone, or so I was reading on a website that said there was, but I don't have an Iphone. So no help to me. Matter of fact it said it was CoPilot Live Truck or something like that. All I can get is is the copilot like you mentioned petko.

according to their website, its comming in summer 2010
due to my post count, i cant post the link in this post, but i will post it in a few sec. (they require 2 posts min)
send me a pm and i can direct you in the correct direction for the plain co-pilot.

it works great even in a truck so look as you keep your eye out for truck route signs, and height limits, which you should be doing even with a truck version anyhow.

It's very good at re-calculating a new route as soon as you go off the route its suggesting you. and it does have a option to avoid propane restricted tunnels, which covers most of the tunnels that are offlimits for placarded loads. but you should really know those places as well without having to rely on your gps.
