What you need to remember is that you are posting this on a public forum, and as such you should expect to receive advice and answers that you may not want to hear. That doesn't mean that you need to go on the defensive, overlook those posts, its not worth getting bent out of shape over.

and i'm fine with that first portion. But I don't need a threepeat echo or fourpeat echo to tell me what 2 or 3 others already told me above (see several posts above from multiple members).

Read the question. answer the question. It's really that simple. If I want to know what the consequences or ask for opinions on if I should x, y, z then I'll create a thread asking that. I don't get why it's so difficult to keep things ON TOPIC around this forum. it's very frustrating and it's quite rude of those that can't/won't/don't respect that.

you should throw away your career with your current company so you can find work with a company that will let you idle your truck.

Probably the easiest fix would be to find a company that allows idling rather than skirt the system set in place by your current employer.

well, this works...somewhat. Though the hand warmers fizz out about 5 hours into the night, lol and the truck shuts off.

if i could get a better job I would, but right now I'm where I am, until I get enough experience to go somewhere else. Job hopping won't make things any better.

Lighter fluid and a single match will fix any freightliner product.
    Might void the warranty, though.

I found that wrapping a bandana around the sensor and heat warmer helped to keep things in place, as well keeping the hand warmer insulated and she idled all night last night for the complete 10 hours. I was a happy camper!

looks like I don't have to worry about it much longer, I'm getting a new truck soon. :) A freightliner cascadia! woot!
