I have a nice truck with all the amenities but every couple weeks at a minimum I get a nice motel and get away from the truck and its a nice reprive from truckstops .
Any of you escape the truck and get a motel ?

Rarely. Have been known to on occasion, though.
Usually if we have a lost day somewhere and know a day or do ahead of time, we park the truck at a car rental agency and check out what's around. Six Flags, Dollywood, the Zoo, an aquarium and/or catch a ball game somewhere. It helps break up the monotony and we get to take in some of the sights we normally pass right by. The last few trips we've been staying with a friend in Houston and getting some work on tattoos done while she's at work. -
Every time I don't make it home. I told 'em when I hired on that I don't mind running the road, so long as it pays enough to justify putting me up @ the Holiday Inn Express. Trucks are for working. When the work day is over, it's time to park the truck and relax in comfort.

I finished my day in Topeka and there's nowhere to park for 25 miles so I just got a motel. It's nice to have a real bed and cable TV for once. Also, when my bunk heater wasn't working and it was supposed to get down to 12 degrees I got a room. I stayed in the truck once when it got down to 18 and never again. My resets always seem to be in the middle of nowhere where there's no car rentals.
