Was browsing craigslist today and saw a driving job for dunkin donuts. Starting pay was 21.25hr plus ot after 40. They also said a raise after 90 days. All local work unloading a 48 with a 2 wheeler and possibly a pallet jack and lift gate. Wonder why they're advertising on craigslist? If they run you up to your 70 that's $1806 gross for the week, even 55 is 1330 and around my area that's a pretty good wage. Is it just that people are lazy and don't wanna unload a trailer the old school way?
Anyways I took the bait and sent them my resume. I'm young so if I get the job and they run me close to 70 every week I'll be able to buy a house in no time
Anyone ever drive for Dunkin Donut's?

Most foodservice jobs pay well, it's just hard when it's pouring rain and 37* outside lol. You'll be working hard, they know how long it "normally takes" and will expect the same from you. It's not that older guys don't want to work hard, but spend 20yrs throwing cases then report back on how f'd up your body is

Or sit behind a steering wheel and bump docks for 30 years and then report back how f'd up your body is. Your choice.

The only negative is the 50 mile commute. Its not that bad since I live a few miles off I81 and can cruise down to Scranton pretty quick. I have a clean mvr/csa and have food service experience already so im expecting a call from them.I was doing about 1150-1250 avg gross at my 1st job doing food service. To me that's not worth it for that pay and having to sleep on the road 2 nights a week.

Dunkin Donuts is delivered by National DCP. I don't know too much about them other than I see them do a lot of night time deliveries all by themselves when the stores are closed. I got a coworker of mine who use to work for them, but I don't see him too often due to shift difference. I'll ask him about the job if I get a chance and will update here if I do, that's if somebody doesn't update here first.

Keep in mind that most companies hire out to a contractor like Fedex and others. They are not Fedex trucks or drivers. Probably the same as Dunkin.
