Hi all,
I would like to ask some questions if I can.
I have been driving for a reefer company for 6 months and 2 weeks. now. It's an ok company, but not great miles. not even getting 2500 miles a week. Which I was told would be the minimum I would be getting. Plus, seems to me it should be doable. Plus, I am getting tired of the games grocers and produce companies play.
I really want to get into tankers.
Anyways, some issues in relating to submitting applications. I had an accident in May. It was 100% my fault and was 300% stupid. I made a u-turn and turned too far and broke the driver side fins off. This I know I have to list on applications.
Last night while parked in a truck stop, a truck hit my driver side corner while turning into the lane. I was 100% in my stall. No part of truck or trailer was outside of lines. Do I have to list this on applications? It would then be 2 accidents in a short time. This was entirely not my fault.
Thanks for your advice. You guys are great.

If they ask about preventables, you only have to mention the u-turn.
The other one should have been ruled NON-preventable. -
U-Turns are never a good idea. They show lack of judgement. If you did it on a roadway you might find it difficult to find a "good" job without having to explain this accident.

Yup. A loooooong time ago pulling my 5th wheel behind the pickup. Took out the back window.
Long sweeping turns, or a simple 3 point turn. Doing out right U-turns in a big rig just leaves to many blind spots and tears up the tires to much IMO.Last edited: Sep 1, 2015
