Just curious, I have seen a lot of truck drivers with dry vans are company drivers. Are most flatbed drivers owner operators?/

I only know 3 people that haul flats, and both of them are O/O.
2 of them have drivers leased on to them. -
Stick and brick haulers? I'd say the majority are company. OSOW, the majority are O/O.

There are a lot of company flatbed drivers. TMC for instance has around 2000 trucks and Maverick I think is equivalent. They have flat, glass division and then reefer. They haul the glass on a special A-frame mounted on a flatbed. Like TripleSix said sticks and bricks mostly company drivers. I call them them lumber jockeys lol. But the really cool specialized stuff and osow almost exclusively O/O from my experience
tsavory Thanks this. -
You also have companies like Swift, Prime, Watkins Shepherd, Jones Brothers and many others that all have flatbed trailers. Majority of them are company drivers while a few are lease operators.

My company has around 90 drivers. We have, I think, 4 owner ops.
