Just got diagnosed today at age 33, is there anyone else out there on the road with this? I've been home since early october. I guess it's a matter if weight loss, meds, excersizes, physio, etc.. to get the pain under control. I was taking 5 to 6 t3s a day and now I can't take any more because my liver is elevated.
I plan on buying a new seat with eat but winter may not be fun.

You definitely don't want to take that many Tylenol a day unless you want to die from liver damage. Did the diagnosing doctor not prescribe anything for it or give you any recommendations on how to help alleviate it?

I'm back at my regular doctor, the diagnosing doctor didn't say much at all. I'm on diclofenac which helps a lot but I'm wondering if anyone in the industry has specific tips to help me out because it's only going to get worse.

I wish I could help you but my arthritis is in my hands and not my hips. My doctor told me to use moist heat to help but that was years ago and I don't know if they even still recommend that. I wish you luck....

Ask dr. For Cymbalta, works great for me.

If you keep your wallet in your back pocket while driving - don't.

Lol that's what my Dr. Keeps getting on me about. Hard habit to break, feel naked without it in my pocket.

Number 1 reason for back and hip problems in men. Wallet in back pocket.
I have no experience with either problem or arthritis. But have read plenty that suggest walking will help alleviate the pain.
Good luck. -
I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't suffer from Arthritis. But I'm sure it's just a really bad condition to have in any situation. My wife suffers from it in her hips and knees and refuses to take drugs for it. No matter what doctors tell you, long term taking of any drug is not a good idea. But thats doctors for you. They are influenced by Big Pharma to peddle their stuff. Just be aware of all the side effects that drugs will give.
Instead she is doing acupuncture but it's going to take time for it to be effective. It's not an instant solution, and she is getting excellent results with it. Doctors/specialists are also recommending this kind of treatment. It's just not very well understood by Western medicine. Also natural taking of Glucosamine/chondroitin is a very common solution. I've seen it work first hand. Don't forget exercise is still a necessary thing to do. Do your research and good luck to you.
