I'd hang in there with tanker, how much exp. Do you have? 2 of our last few hires were scheinder guys.
They seem to have been well trained.
New guys here running local will make 65,000 and that's working 55-60 hrs. A week. That's starting money.

Speaking of money.....I was informed by the recruiter that TMC offers a guaranteed paycheck of $1k/wk for 8 wks after completion of training. He said that 8 wks is all the time you'll need to be in a position to start earning yourself more then $1k/wk.

Yes, but when you start out remember it's $1000 gross, not net, so it's before taxes. After 8 weeks by yourself you should be use to tarping chaining and strapping by yourself.

Yes, I heard that as a new driver. You get several other perks the veteran drivers don't. There are a few new drivers in this forum that may be able answer your question in greater detail.

Right but through training you have someone to help you if yur in a situation and can't figure it out, versus being on the road and can figure out how to get the tarp to lay better

My first load took me 3 hours to tarp and securement. I was with 2 other TMC drivers both offered me assistance. As I do now when I see any driver looking like they may be over whelmed due to the load or elements. Be safe.

    ∆_Dan_∆, Roger2012 and Toona67 Thank this.

That's awesome. It's always good to help others out, regardless of carriers. Just got to be safe about it.
