Either way not sure why that hasn't been done 10 years ago or more, -

It means the company who sells these cameras made friends with the politicians, probably with a campaign donation, & are now making more profits from we the drivers through higher taxes & fines. It means you can't go anywhere these days without Big Brother watching you, so don't pick your nose. Isn't life great in the land of freedom & privacy? It's all for your safety, ya know?

welcome to the new world of trucking and being watched in the name of safety.
Officer: you had an accident. Time to pull ALL your records. I notice here you were off on your log book by 15 min. Turn around and put your hands behind your back. Your under-arrest for false logs (pictures prove it. A mistake dont make it legle) , lie to a federal officer (just cause you didnt know you were off on your logs dont mean you werent. You were so you gave him false info thus you a lair) , out of hours, losing control of your truck, improper lane change (cause after you wrecked you put it in the ditch)...
GET THE PICTURE? Cause they got it and believe they will use it all against you if and when you make a mistake.
I can't wait to leave this industry! -
Nothing new on the west coast.
