Average take home pay for OTR at Western?

I was avg 500/wk

 

There are a lot of variables in that question, WE pays big difference between flatbed and van. Hubby does flatbed for them, and an average week he makes 700-800 after taxes but we are notorious for taking out a lot of advances.

 

Don't fall for it. They lack lot of responsabilities and I'm sitting on a load cus basically I went home under a load. Told them I'm not abandoning the load. I'll sit with the load till someone can come get it. Its bad. Its like a good idea till u fall for it. I had a 30 day least contract warranty. Western was taking money out of my maintenance account while still under warranty... why?

You didn't read your contract. A warranty covers certain things. Your maintenance account usually covers non-warranty items that break or wear out - like tires that are not a warranty item - and your regularly scheduled maintenance like PMs.

 

$300 if you are lucky. They are a shady company. I was gone for 12 weeks and wouldnt send me home. Beware of western express.

 

It depends on the division you're in. Flatbed pays much more, starting at 37 cpm and has more miles. But it's much more work, too, as I am learning.
