Has anyone gotten bad fuel anywhere? I fueled at loves in Memphis Texas and it plugged my fuel filters so bad and had to have them changed at a TA, had my truck serviced this last Monday and had fueled primarily at loves and when fuel filters came off they had black junk in them and almost plugged again. I'm not fueling at loves anymore cheap fuel plugged filters.

...or you have microbes growing in your tank and you will just continue to burn through filters until you treat your tanks and correct the problem. Black filters clogging quickly is a ringer for that being the case. Consider it... a fuel pump spread STD for your truck.

You can buy microbe killer for your tanks, dose them every time your home. Also, avoid fueling when they are dropping fuel-with the old tanks you end up with sediment floating up into the fuel.(not sure if this applies to loves, but I've had issues at Mom&Pop fuel stations with a lot of grit fueling while they are dropping)

Dump a bottle of Biocide in that thing. It will kill those fuel tank herpes pretty quick. My buddy's truck got struck with it, really hosed up his filters and fuel mileage, one treatment, though, and all was hunky dory.

Naw, you're gonna need something that says biocide or biokleen or some such. It's about 20 bucks a bottle (little less sometimes.) Those microbes live in a pretty gnarly environment, so they need something that really targets them. Sometimes, a second treatment is needed a week or so down the line, but not always. Just keep an eye on your filters afterward, you'll know if it's gone.

It's not something living in your fuel tank. It's tar forming.
