Depending on what part of NJ tolls may be the rate killer. And for NJ ehhhhh either you or your company should've/could've negotiated the rate closer to paying you 2.50 per mile. Once again I don't know what part of jersey but my general rule of thumb is I don't go anywhere to the NE for less than 2.25 and $2000 revenue. Kinda on cheap side for others but that's my starting point to get my attention. But this should be a good learning exp for you on a dedicated gig

I might go 80 across to 280 and have to pay only one toll on the NJ turnpike. The carrier pays half of any tolls I pay.

Total at Cummins came to 2700.00. That was better than I thought it would be.

Correct. That 2700 was for oil change, filter, fuel filter, fuel water separator, ECM update, coolant system flush, check, and refill, clean doser, new DPF filter, and oil analysis.

I plan on doing Centramatics next time. TruckPro has a great price on them and will charge me a half hour of labor to put them on all positions.

That's really good then, last time I was quoted $2000 just to drop my DPF filter to send out for cleaning. If they could not clean it it was an additional $3500 for a new one.

So you got all that work done for a great cost.

    Grijon Thanks this.

I went to a Cummins shop for it; MidSouth Cummins in Springdale, AR. They can do everything in house. No need to send things off and stuff. I scheduled a date and they had it for 2 business days and I picked it up the morning of the third day. Next on the list is an alignment. It has started pulling to the right and it's showing up on my steers.

If it's effected the steers, it's too late to save them. Once a tire stays to wear bad, it will continue to. Basically there is no reason to hurry to the suspension shop now since the tires are ruined. Still needs done, but can be postponed till it's convenient.

    scottied67 and Misesian Thank this.
