Best Bars For Truckers

Country Bobs Parkway Tavern in Binghampton NY was a good spot to stop when running from the Eastern ports up to Ontario Canada, lot of Canadian truckers stopped there on a regular basis. Use to get the Green $3.00 steak tokens

 

Today is Barb's last day at the Bar B Q in Carlisle PA. 5-10.
if you're in the area.... Sadly I'm not.

 

Otto's Place, inside The West Gate Inn, Exit 26 I-70 Grand Junction, Co. Next door to the ALCON Conoco Truckstop. Food is average, bar is open 4pm till 9pm (depending on the mood of the bar tender and staff). Hotel rates are reasonable with large amounts of truck parking at both locations, truck parking at the hotel is supposed to be for registered guests only.

 

I've been blotto at ottos a time or ten. That's where we used to stay when we were moving a rig down there. Usually we could get the bar to stay open because there would be 15 of us in there buying drinks and tipping good.

 

Two places that I found to kill a little time.

Pilot I90 x27, Erie Pa. Left out of Pilot about 1/4 mi on the left is the Country Tavern. Friendly locals, great burgers, and cold beer. Casino and Horse track is right behind the bar.

Pilot I94 x 322, Oak Creek, Wi. Left ot of the Pilot about 1/3-1/2 mi on Right is the Buckhorn Saloon. Ok burgers, very cheap cold beer, friendly locals

 

The best bar for trucker's................that's easy............a BAR of SOAP................Way too many won't visit that bar....

 

This place has new owners...
It's now called"The Tipping Chair"...
Way better food and they remodeled...
Lots of craft beers on tap.....

 

The "Big Texan" steakhouse in Amarillo has a good bar to relax and enjoy some drinks at. They make some awesome beers right there at the restaurant.

 

If at the Flying J Amarillo and the Big Texan [shuttle] is busy as it often is during the summer late afternoon/early evening hours (or you don't feel like paying $8.00 for a premium whiskey) Wild Wings has opened up next door across the street.
