Ok so then yea 1000 is kinda on the hot side. If it had been in the manifold that would still be kinda warm for bobtail but very livable. Boost is still ok?? And it all started after the new trim codes??

Yes as soon as they put the trim codes in... I question anytime Fuel is added to a flash file without adjusting timing etc...

Gives you more power but if the time is not adjusted It can't make it a hot tune to increase fuel mileage is my thinking right on that

Yes if its outa time as far as injection goes it can cause lots of heat, which adds cylinder pressure which can blow head gaskets. I havent played with many big diesel engines that have been turned up but had my share of fun with a 500hp 5.9 cummins and my 600hp powerstoke I got now. Same things still apply tho. I would get the other trim codes put back in or find the quarks with this file and have it fixed.

It's a stock 550 flash file from Caterpillar and this is the caterpillar trim code that doesn't void warranty my thoughts are just adding fuel gives you power and adds heat and doesn't address fuel mileage... I have no torque management and no derate

Could the pressure output of the fass be adjusted down to give slightly less fuel?

Its possible as some FASS's are adjustable but Im betting there is something slightly off with the current flash file.
