Whatever happened spilled over on the west bound lane slowing traffic for about ten miles WB. EB was closed down and backed up from a good five miles before the first EB toll booth to the 5% grade right beyond the booth.
Dozer was spreading dirt on WB and EB lanes. Charred remains of a trailer sat down the shoulder off an exit ramp.
Five miles east of that accident a tractor and trailer had rolled over off the shoulder. That rollover was unattended. I guess the fire took priority.
Hope the drivers made it out.
Every week that I come through these mountains (77, 64, 35) I see at least one wreck. If it's rainy, there are three or four. It makes me wonder what the winter is going to bring.
