I hold a class C and class M1 for California and thinking about getting my CDL. Will I have to retake the knowledge test for both the class C and class M1 again?
I will be taking my CDL with all the endorsements just to knock it all out at once.
After asking around I heard some people have to retake the C and M tests however after looking in the CA 2015 Drivers Handbook I couldn't find any clarity.

I suggest just working on the CDL first then the rest. There have been issues other have had problems trying to do so much from the start.

If you have renewed your class C within the last year you won't have to take it. More than a year, than yes.
Sneakerfix Thanks this. -
I attempted to escape OK last year.. when I went in they gave me EVERYTHING CDL Related.. and they are all on that goofy newsprint loooong sheets of paper.. could be different for an upgrade.. but all I was doing was moving from one state to the other and already had all the endorsements and have had since 1983
