Camera? Not on my watch

Boycott the driver facing camera companies, everybody!

 

My new truck has the camera. My attitude is it's their truck. They can do whatever they want to it. The camera doesn't bother me. I'm not doing anything I'm not supposed to be doing. But, the second they do something I don't like, then I'll do like those of you that don't like the camera find another gig. It's not like there's a shortage of truck driving positions.

 

Pride Transport had driver facing cameras for awhile in some of their trucks, they listened to the drivers and replaced them with outward facing only.
My truck doesn't have either, but if they put an outward camera, I won't care, I have been cut off by enough 4 wheelers, and on occasion, idiot steering wheel holders that think they should pass in an ending lane at the last minute, that I would almost welcome the camera, just to catch those morons.

 

If they didn't hire any body that can fog a mirror might not need this crap

 

I agree. That said, I don't really care what they do. It's their truck, and I don't do anything I'm not supposed to be doing.

 

I left a job after 23 years because they felt it was necessary to install a driver facing camera in my truck I told them to tape their camera to a stick and give themselves a colonoscopy

Everyone is different ...
Nobody else has to drive their truck with a creepy camera staring at them all day and night

 

Do you ever reach for the AC or radio controls while driving? Or how about reaching for a drink?
Well a lawyer could twist that as "distracted driving" thanks to that camera.
What about yawning, rubbing your eyes etc... a lawyer could twist that driving while sleepy thanks to that camera.

Anything and everything can and will be used against you.
