I'm located in Chicago, IL and have applied to
    - Cassens Trucking (Aurora, Hegewisch)
    - Jack Cooper (Ft Wayne, IN)
    - Precision Motor Transport Group
    - United Road

But they all don't have any positions available currently, and feel it'd be easier to get in with someone who already works there or knows someone in a company. I graduated from an accredited trucking school about two weeks ago with no luck in finding a car hauling company to train with and join. I'd be willing to go anywhere in the U.S for training.

I learned how to drive a semi truck at the age of 16 and have been driving them since then but that's personal experience that cannot be validated legally.

I'd greatly appreciate anyone who can help and will compensate you for your time or help in anyway I can.

Sorry to have to tell you this. None of the companies you listed will touch you without legitimate driving experience. It is tough enough learning Carhaul without trying to learn to drive too.

Some can get lucky, but like heavy hauling, u would need experience to join. It's a specialist job

Most car hauler want at least 2 years experience driving. Be patient get your experience I would recommend a flatbed company so you can get experience securing loads. It will help you with car hauling if that is what you want to do. I hope the best for you.

The Cassens terminal in upstate NY is hiring. I don't know for sure if they'd take a shot on a recent graduate but it may be worth a phone call.

Driving part have it down, not worried at all about that, not even the car hauling just the hard thing is to get my foot in the door right now since I'm considered a high risk with nothing to prove my experience.
Definitely the field I want to get into, but trying to see if I can find an opportunity before having to go to a different field of trucking for experience.
Will give it a shot, thanks!

Doesn't matter if you have it down, it matters what the hiring company thinks you have down.

If you really want to do carhaul I wouldn't stop with just those companies. I would be calling others as well even if that means going otr for a while. Then once you have carhaul experience under your belt it will make your application much more appealing.

I want to say Hansen and Adkins is the best about hiring and training newbies but I could be wrong

Both Cassens and Jack Cooper have in recent times hired people right out of truck driving school with zero driving experience. They only do it when they can't find drivers with experience, but they both have done it. You have to be persistent and look for a terminal that can't find enough drivers. There are several Cooper terminals laying off due to loosing work so you may not get in there right now. Cassens was hiring off the street recently in Georgetown Ky. Get your foot in the door and then transfer to a terminal close to home if you can't get hired in Chicago land right now.

I wouldn't mind OTR, have been contacting people on CL, Indeed, careerbuilder etc. but everyone requires validated experience and the once who usually train have their spots filled up.
I'll look into it, thank you!
    Emailed, thanks!
